Netherlands Visa Information

General Information:

The India Visa and Consular Service centre at The Hague will provide the following facilities to the service seekers:-

  • Collection of visa applications 
  • Collection of urgent/emergency visa applications 
  • Collection of OCI/PIO/Passport applications 
  • Delivery of processed passport with visa to the applicants 
  • Delivery of New OCI/PIO/Passport to the applicants

The India Visa and Consular Service centre at Rotterdam will provide the following facilities to the service seekers:-

  • Collection of visa applications 
  • Collection of OCI/PIO/Passport applications 
  • Delivery of processed passport with visa to the applicants 
  • Delivery of New OCI/PIO/Passport to the applicants

Notice:

  • Hand Written Visas are no longer accepted at the Embassy. Applicant must apply online for visa applications.

  • Applications must use photographs of dimensions 51mm x 51mm (2"x2"). 
  • If the applicant is facing difficulty in obtaining photographs of the  mentioned dimensions, he/she can visit the following addresses:

    2. Foto Americaine, 41 Wagenstraat, 2512 AP Den Haag
  • India Visa and Consular Service Centres in Amsterdam, Hague and Rotterdam are working effectively since May 2013. For more information, go to www.blsindia-nl.com.
  • Applicants with urgent/emergency requirement for Visa (either for business purposes or death/medical reasons in the family) must submit their applications to service provider at India Visa and Consular Service centre at The Hague between 0900 – 1200 hrs along with all the required documents. Applicants will be returned back their processed passport along with visa between 1630 – 1730 hrs on any working day.
  • During any holiday or weekend, applicants must submit their emergency visas applications along with all the required documents directly at the Embassy.
  • Applicants, who have any complaints or suggestions, can mail their concerns to Ambassador and the undersigned to their respective email addresses. Also, applicants must be aware of the fact that passport/visa/PIO/ OCI services are being provided by the service provider with the email address [email protected].
  • Applicants can also contact the service provider if he/she needs to ask any queries at 070-7508327 between 0900-1200 hours and 1300-1700 hours on any working day.
Procedure for issue of various types of Visas:
  • The following documents must be submitted along with the visa application form, unless specified differently:
    • Applicant must submit their completed applications for Business Visa, Entry Visa, Family Visa, Tourist Visa, Medical Visa, Conference Visa, Student Visa, Transit Visa etc. to the service provider, preferably in person as it would help in clarifying all the requirements on the spot. 
    • No applicant should send the visa fee in cash through post.
    • Applicant must past one passport size photo of the dimensions 5.1 x 5.1 cm (2” x 2”) and staple another of the same dimension on the application form.
    • The applicant must hold a Passport with a validity of minimum six months.
    • Applicants belonging to different countries with Dutch resident permit Card must provide to the service provider a copy of the Residence Permit Card, a copy of the passport and also the Original Residence Permit while submitting the application form.
    • Applicants who are Dutch Nationals, originating from Morroco, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Taiwan, Somalia, Nigeria and China, if wish to apply for medical visa/Tourist Visa/Employment Visa/transit visa/conference visa/Business Visa etc. must fill an extra form and pay an additional  processing fee of € 30. The Embassy will take a minimum of 7 days for the issuing of such Visas.
    • Applicants who do not hold Dutch passports Applicants originating from Morroco, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Taiwan, Somalia, Nigeria and China, if wish to apply for medical visa/Tourist Visa/Employment Visa/transit visa/conference visa/Business Visa etc., who have not been the resident for Netherlands for at least a year, must fill an extra form and pay an additional processing fee of € 30. The Embassy will take a minimum of 7 days for the issuing of such Visas. If the applicant has been a resident of Netherlands for over a year, he/she must provide evidence to support his/her statement to be exempted from filling in the extra form.
    • Applicants who do not hold Dutch Passport and have not been the resident of Netherlands for a minimum of 2 years, if wishing to apply for Employment Visa/Business Visa applicants must fill an extra form and pay an additional processing fee of € 30. The Embassy will take a minimum of 7 days for the issuing of such Visas. All such applicants must hold a meeting the consular staff at the Embassy before their applications are processed. If the applicant has been a resident of Netherlands for a minimum of 2 years he/she must provide evidence to support his/her statement to be exempted from filling in the extra form.
    • For the applicants who are nationals of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Nigeria, China, Iraq and Iran, the time period taken to process Employment Visa/Business Visa application may be at least 3 to 6 months.
    • For the applicants who are nationals of Pakistan, the time period taken to process the visa application may be at least 3 to 6 months.
  • Applicant, after submitting their visa applications might be called up for an interview by the service provider.
  • Foreign Nationals, should not misuse their Visa, and should follow the laws of India. He/she must not indulge in any unlawful activity or sex tourism in India.
  • The applicant must note that apart from the listed documents, he/she may be asked any other document as well to support evidence by the consular/visa section.

Time taken to Process Visa Applications

  • The time period of the validity of visa starts from the date when it is issued.
  • Under normal circumstances, the Visa is issued to the applicant on the same day it is received along with all the required documents by the Embassy. Though, the time taken by the service providers in different locations varies and it is as follows:
    • The Hague: 2-3 days
    • Amsterdam: 3-4 days
    • Rotterdam: 3-4 days

Visa Fees:

  • Applicants who are US nationals must pay an additional sum of Euro 25 /-..
  • Applicants who are Pakistan nationals must pay an additional sum of € 2.
  • Applicants who are Sri Lankan nationals must pay an additional sum of € 4 and € 7 for Single-entry & Double-entry visas respectively.
  • Applicants who are Nationals of Uruguay, Afghanistan, Jamaica, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Maldives, Poland, Mauritius, Slovak Republic and South Africa have to pay no sum for issued visa. Though, they must the required service charges to the service provider and they can apply only through the service provider.
  • A service charge of € 50 is charged from Russian and Romanian nationals respectively by the Embassy. No other fee will be charged. However, they have to pay the relevant service charges etc. to the service provider and apply through the service provider only.
  • Applicants who hold Official & Diplomatic passport along with the required Note Verbale need not pay any visa fee. Though, the applicants who hold US official passports and UK official/Diplomatic passports have to pay the visa fees.
  • Applicant whose Indian visa affixed on old passport is transferred to a new one, must pay an additional sum of 6 Euro. 

Caution:

All the applicants must be aware that the company named ‘Visa to World Netherlands’ claim that it working under the Embassy of India in the Netherlands is completely false. Any applicant who routes his/her application from this company will not be accepted by The Embassy of India. The company continues to still operate even after receiving notices on their website/The company is located at Hoogoorddreef 79, 1101 BB Amsterdam Zuidoost and has a website: www.visatoworld.nl.
