Ukraine Visa Information

General Information:

Notice:

  • The Visa application form must be filed online by visiting websites:
    • http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa
    • http://www.indianembassy.org.ua/english/visa.htm#New_System
  • Old handwritten Visa forms are no longer accepted by Embassy of India, Kyiv.
  • The applicant must fill the form by following the guidelines as mentioned on the website.
  • The applicant must upload his/her digital photo on the form and must take a printout of the filled form. Photograph of the same dimensions as uploaded on the website must also be affixed on the online application form.
  • The applicant must get a printout of the completed form, sign on it and then submit it to the Embassy along with the required Visa fees and the necessary documents.
  • If an applicant is traveling with a child, he/she must submit a separate visa form for the child, even if the name of the child is mentioned on the passport of the applicant.
  • The Embassy provides a new machine readable visa sticker which permits entry into India. The sticker does not have the signature or stamp of the Embassy.

  • The Nationals of Ukraine and India who are holding diplomatic/official passports do not need Visa to visit each other's country as a bilateral agreement has been signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of India.

Visa Application

  • Applicants can apply for Visas in person by visiting Embassy of India, Kyiv.
  • The Embassy, generally takes two working days to process the visa applications, though each application is examined with its own merit basis and the time taken to process may vary from application to application. In some cases, it might take longer. Some of such cases are:
    • Applicant not residing in Ukraine
    • Applicant requiring a clearance from India
    • Applicants requiring to visit restricted areas
    • Applicants who are called up for verification of certain documents
  • If any visitor is requiring visiting a restricted are, he/she must fill another form. To find out if any of the places you are intending to visit lies under protected/restricted area, contact Consular Section of the Embassy.
  • Foreign Nationals can avail specific visas depending on the purpose of their visit. The different types of Visas are Business visa, Tourist Visa, Employment visa, Student Visa and Entry visa. Any applicant can contact Consular Service for determining the type of visa that suits their needs of visiting India. The form for each type of Visa remains the same though, in some cases, some additional documents might be required.
  • If an applicant is granted the Visa, it does not mean that he can enter India and the matter lies in the hands of the Immigration Authorities.
  • After the Visa is issued, there is no possibility of any changes or alterations.

Tourist Visa (TV)
Applicants who wish to visit India for tourism purposes can avail short term tourist Visas which are non convertible and non extendable, and are effective from the date when they are issued. For some cases, such as for Travel agents, who require visiting India frequently, can avail long term tourist visas as well.

Business Visa (BV)

  • Applicants may avail Business Visas for a period of one year for a single entry. Though, multiple-entry Business Visas for a period of two years can also be granted to foreign nationals who are visiting India to pursue a bilateral agreement or joint venture projects that have the approval from the government.
  • The application must also submit a letter from Ukrainian company that explains all the details of the company, nature of business with the Indian company, duration of business visa and a letter of invitation from an Indian company. Both these documents must be submitted in duplicate.
  • In most cases involving non-public Sector Units (non-PSUs), the applicant must provide a copy of the certificate of registration of the company under Companies Act or proof of its registration in the State Industries Department or the concerned Export Promotion Council.

Visa Fee and Additional Charges

  • The applicant whose cancels his Visa application, or whose application gets reject will not be refunded back his/her Visa fees.
  • The right to determine the duration of the visa and the amount of Visa fees is in the hands of Embassy of India, Kyiv.

Notes:

  • Special permission is required for visiting restricted areas like Mizoram, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Parts of Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Parts of Jammu & Kashmir and Parts of Rajasthan.
  • Nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Argentina, Maldives, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Mauritius, Jamaica, South Africa, Mongolia and Uruguay need not pay any visa fee except US$ 10 as processing fee.
  • Applicants who are US nationals must pay an additional sum of US$ 20 as application fee.
  • Applicant traveling with a child must submit gull visa fee for the child.
